The challenge
Root ingress restricting the drain
A CCTV inspection identified root ingress obstructing the drainage run and affecting wastewater flow at the site.
With the drain serving an occupied block of flats, the work needed a prompt response and careful coordination to minimise disruption.

The solution
Cleared, excavated and repaired
Specialist chain-cutting equipment was used to remove the root ingress from inside the pipe before the affected section was exposed by excavation and repaired.
- Root ingress located by CCTV inspection
- Roots removed with specialist chain-cutting equipment
- Damaged pipework exposed and repaired
- Work completed with the occupied site in mind
